Rockdoor is a proudly British manufacturer (nearby in Lancashire), that’s been engineering composite doors since 1996. In that time, they’ve produced nearly half a million doors and earned a reputation as one of the most secure, hard-wearing products on the market. Back in 2004, a Rockdoor famously made national headlines as “The Door that Beat the Bobbies” when police couldn’t break through it with a professional battering ram, a story that’s stuck with the brand ever since.
We work with Rockdoor because the quality speaks for itself. The thermal efficiency (how well the door reduces heat transfer, keeping warmth inside your home in winter and out in summer) is excellent, helping to reduce heat loss and lower your energy bills. The heritage and craftsmanship behind every door means we can offer our customers complete peace of mind knowing it’s Rockdoor.
So what exactly is a composite door? Unlike traditional timber doors or standard uPVC doors, a Rockdoor composite door is built using a mixture of materials. These are essentially the best bits of each material on the market, combined to create the perfect door for modern living, ticking every box from thermal performance, to low maintenance, security to a traditional look. Each one features a high-density insulating core, a 360-degree aluminium reinforcement frame and thick uPVC skins, which gives you a door that not only looks beautiful, but promises to last.
Every Rockdoor has a high-density foam core that traps warmth inside your home. That means less reliance on your central heating, lower energy bills and better indoor comfort all year round.
With a 360° aluminium frame running around the entire door, plus advanced multi-point locking, Rockdoor offers leading security. Hinges, locks and handles are bolted straight into the aluminium for genuine peace of mind.
Every new composite door we install is made to measure, never cut to size. This bespoke approach guarantees a perfect fit, draught-free seal and a finish that complements your home's kerb appeal.
The GRP outer skin is tough. It won’t scratch, ideal if you’re ever moving heavy furniture in and out, and maintains its colours for years, regardless of whether the sun has been scorching or the rain relentless.
The foam core is most notable for its ability to lower your energy bills, but it also plays a part in keeping your home quieter. For that reason, Rockdoor is the top choice for properties in urban areas or near busy roads.
Composite doors are tough, and represent an investment that will last for decades. The aluminium reinforcement plays a key part in this, making sure that your door won’t lose its shape over time, essentially a skeleton.
Colours
Rockdoor offers 14 beautiful finishes to suit any property. From classic Chartwell Green and Irish Oak through to modern Anthracite Grey, Slate Grey and Black, there's a shade to match every style of home, whether you live in a period cottage or a contemporary new-build. It’s not overcomplicated; we believe having 14 popular colours makes it easier to pick the right one without getting overwhelmed.
Glazing
Rockdoor provides a fantastic range of decorative glass designs for their composite doors, from traditional leaded patterns to bold contemporary styles. Their unique S-Glaze technology bonds the glass directly into the door skin, making it virtually impossible to remove from the outside. Glass is toughened as standard, with etched patterns, art deco styles and privacy options all available.
Security
Your front door plays the most important role in keeping your home and family safe; it's the first line of defence against intruders. Rockdoor composite doors are widely regarded as sitting on the top table for security in the UK market, with their 360° aluminium reinforcement, S-Glaze bonded glass and high-security locking systems all working together to give you complete peace of mind.

Rockdoor have a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Lancashire. Here, they independently test every door that leaves the factory, reviewing the hardware, hinges and foam core for thermal performance.
Each door is built up from the following key layers:
• 3mm PVC-U outer skin: Thicker than the industry standard and vacuum-foiled to prevent fading
• 360° aluminium reinforcement frame: Runs around the entire door for unmatched strength
• High-density polyurethane foam core: Delivers brilliant thermal insulation and helps with noise reduction from external noise
• S-Glaze bonded glazing: Glass is sealed directly into the skin, removing the weak point found in other composite door styles
• Multi-point locking system: Bolted directly into the aluminium frame for maximum security
